These cotton, hand-woven designs are inspired by the Ashanti Kente garments.  Each piece exemplifies literally and abstractly the symbols used by the Ghanaian Ashanti tribe. As an ode to the the Ashanti treaty with the European invaders, the designs illustrate the importance of balance of contrasting colors in a space, as only with true harmony does the design truly shine.
